Reading Time: 2 minutes

First off, I would like to say congratulations to everyone who has already gained this certificate and good luck to everyone who is on the journey to attaining it.

On The 10th of January 2019 I found out that I had passed both the AZ-300: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies and the AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design beta exams. I sat the exams back in October 2018. When reading the skills measured I believed that i would find the AZ-301 easier. It turns out I did better in the AZ-300.

Passing exam AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies validates the skills and knowledge to advise stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Candidates have advanced experience and knowledge across various aspects of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data management, budgeting, and governance – managing how decisions in each area affects an overall solution.

A lot of people are asking how i studied for the exams. To be honest all I did was create two blog posts with a lot of links to study resources and use Azure daily in my job role. You can find my study resources here.

I have also created a video about the new Azure role based exams. You can find that here.

I hope that you find the resources I have created helpful. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

Pixel Robots.

I’m Richard Hooper aka Pixel Robots. I started this blog in 2016 for a couple reasons. The first reason was basically just a place for me to store my step by step guides, troubleshooting guides and just plain ideas about being a sysadmin. The second reason was to share what I have learned and found out with other people like me. Hopefully, you can find something useful on the site.

Again well done! I’m hoping they have removed the Development questions from the exam now when I go to take one in a month or so.

By the looks of it, they have removed them since the 28th of December 2018. Good luck for when you take the exam.
