Recently I have needed to configure an Active Directory to replicate changes between sites straight away. They had everything set to replicate at the default 15 minutes but this was not quick enough due to a dispersed helpdesk.

The best way to do this is to enable Use Notify replication. Below is a step by step guide on how to do this.

[themify_box style=”black note”] You have to wait for replication to occur for this change to take effect.

Open Sites and Services

Navigate to inter-site Transports and then IP

Right Click on the Site link and click Properties

Click Attributes Editor

Scroll down until you see the attribute Options

Change the value of Options to 1

Click OK

Click OK

You have now enabled Notify replication.

Pixel Robots.

I’m Richard Hooper aka Pixel Robots. I started this blog in 2016 for a couple reasons. The first reason was basically just a place for me to store my step by step guides, troubleshooting guides and just plain ideas about being a sysadmin. The second reason was to share what I have learned and found out with other people like me. Hopefully, you can find something useful on the site.
